SF6152 - sound chip plays short wave files

 

The special function chip SF6152 can play short wave files from it's internal flash memory. The chip can download wave files (max. 6.6kb) from a windows PC via RS232 or via USB (with USB-RS232 adaptor), therefore you can download a small windows program . It it possible to connect up to three switches on the SF6152 for playing the sound: once, twice or endlessly.

Basically data::

• supply voltage (only chip) from 3 up to 5 Volt
• current (sleep) approximate 0.1mA (3V) up to 0.9mA (5V)
• current (on sound output, only the chip) 3-9mA
• current inc. speaker (3V: 50mA, 5V: 130mA, at RL=8 Ohm)
• sonic level (5V, distance 1m) app. 65db
• parts around CON1 only necessary for downloading of the wave files

functions of the windows program:

• record from PC microphone, save it into a wave file
• play wave files over the PC sound card
• download wave files from the PC into the chip
• testing sound output on the SFChip
• loading wave files from hard disc into the program
